Jared Mees secured his 5th American Flat Track championship at the 100th running of the Harley-Davidson Springfield Mile this weekend. Mees had a race-long battle with fellow Indian Motorcycle Wrecking Crew members Bryan Smith and Jeffrey Carver Jr., eventually crossing the finish line in 2nd place, just 0.013 seconds behind Smith. Mees took his TorqDrive equipped Indian Scout FTR750 to 10 wins this year, including 4 of the 5 Miles, allowing him to wrap up the championship with three rounds remaining.
Rekluse President, Sean Brown, said “This championship is another successful chapter in our long history with Jared. Becoming the official clutch of American Flat Track has greatly aided our expansion into the world of street bikes, motivating and pushing us to make better clutches, no matter the motorcycle or racing discipline. Congratulations to Jared and the whole Indian Motorcycle Rogers Racing Team, and we look forward to pursuing more championships together in the future.”

The 2018 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship wrapped up in Crawfordsville, IN this weekend. Having already secured the championship at Budds Creek, Monster Energy/Yamalube/Star Racing Yamaha’s Aaron Plessinger lined up in the Ironman mud and delivered another impressive performance, taking both moto wins. This has been a fantastic year for Plessinger, having also won the 250SX West championship earlier on.
Plessinger’s teammate Justin Cooper had a breakthrough performance in his first full MX season. He secured six top 5 finishes, including 3 podiums, on his way to securing 3rd place in the overall season standings. Proving his speed, Cooper turned in the fastest qualifying times on six different occasions this year.
Dylan Ferrandis also had a successful season, taking 2 overall wins en route to an 8th place overall finish. One of his wins came with dominating 1-1 scores at Unadilla.
“Congratulations to Monster Energy/Yamalube/Star Racing Yamaha for such an amazing 2018 season, winning Supercross and Motocross championships,” said Rekluse Race Program Manager Austin Paden. “In addition to the titles, the performance of the rest of the team has been outstanding, including Justin Cooper’s 3rd place and Dylan Ferrandis’ 8th place finishes. The success of the up-and-coming riders at the Loretta Lynn Amateur National Motocross Championship proved that the future is bright. We are proud to be partnered with such a powerhouse team, and look forward to future successes with the new 2019 YZ250F.”
President of Rekluse, Sean Brown, said “This has been another standout year for the Star Racing team. Two championships in one year is a great accomplishment and this is the second time they have done this in the history of our partnership with them. All of us at Rekluse are grateful for the team’s and each rider’s hard work and professionalism in setting out to be championship contenders each year. We look forward to 2019 and wish AP #23 good luck in the 450 class this next season.”

Rekluse’s RadiusCX is now featured in the 2018 MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 Lusso SCS (Smart Clutch System).
MV Agusta began making motorcycles in 1945, and has continued to innovate since their resurgence in 1992. The addition of RadiusCX from the factory marks the first time a full auto clutch system has been integrated by a motorcycle manufacturer in a production model.
RadiusCX prevents engine stalling by disengaging the clutch when engine RPMs drop near idle. When RPMs are increased, the clutch engages, allowing the rider to take off without using the clutch lever. The centrifugal action of the clutch maintains full functionality of the clutch lever at all times, should the rider choose. RadiusCX incorporates TorqDrive thin friction disk technology. Thinner disks allow more disks to fit in the clutch, increasing power delivery and torque capacity.

The next high performance manual clutch from Rekluse is here; introducing the TorqDrive Clutch Pack. Riders feel improved acceleration, drive, and control. […]
The next high performance manual clutch from Rekluse is here; introducing the TorqDrive Clutch Pack. Proven at the highest levels of racing, TorqDrive friction disk technology allows more disks to fit in a stock clutch’s footprint, decreasing slip, eliminating fade, and unlocking the full power of the engine. Riders feel improved acceleration, drive, and control. TorqDrive’s proprietary friction pad design aids oil flow and reduces drag. The result is clean disengagement at the lever, improved modulation, and improved clutch control. Whether setting track records or shredding a favorite trail, the TorqDrive Clutch Pack delivers the advantage riders are looking for.
TorqDrive friction disks utilize a steel core, while OEM disks use aluminum. When heated, steel expands less than half the amount of aluminum, virtually eliminating clutch fade. To protect and extend the life of the basket, TorqDrive includes steel lining sleeves to eliminate basket wear and notching (Note: basket sleeves not applicable to DDS or CSS equipped KTM/Husqvarna models).
Through years of research and testing, Rekluse has identified the best friction material for motorcycle applications with regard to functionality, grip and durability. This means the friction material can take more abuse than others before losing performance, lasting significantly longer than other clutch disks. Torque capacity is increased by an average of 25% while lever pull is decreased by an average of 10% (both figures vary by model).
Rekluse has announced the release of their RadiusX auto clutch and TorqDrive manual clutch for the Honda Africa Twin (CRF1000L) and the all-new Africa Twin Adventure Sports (CRF1000L2). TorqDrive provides more clutch disks in less space, delivering high performance within the framework of the stock clutch. RadiusX brings together a TorqDrive clutch pack with Rekluse’s […]
RadiusX brings together a TorqDrive clutch pack with Rekluse’s EXP auto clutch disk, resulting in increased performance with the convenience of auto clutch functionality.
TorqDrive provides the addition of 4 friction disks to the clutch pack over stock, increasing the disk count from 8 to 12. More frictions = more torque capacity and less slip, thus unlocking the full power of your engine without the need to add stiffer pressure plate springs to combat clutch slip.
RadiusX brings auto clutch function to the manual transmission models, providing an enhanced riding experience that is different from what the DCT equipped models provide. RadiusX allows full lever control and modulation at all times, while providing anti-stall function. This allows the rider to start and stop in gear without touching the clutch lever and only controlling the throttle. Whether in traffic or on the dirt, RadiusX provides an elevated riding experience.
With RadiusX, a high performance auto clutch is just a clutch pack swap away. RadiusX combines a TorqDrive clutch pack with Rekluse’s innovative EXP auto clutch disk. TorqDrive technology provides high performance auto function within the framework of the stock clutch.
