The 2022 season marks not only Rekluse's seventh consecutive season with Star Racing Yamaha, but a historical 450SX Championship with Supercross and Motocross legend, Eli Tomac.

After some testing throughout the off-season of 2015, the Star Racing crew began began officially running Rekluse clutch components in the 2016 Supercross season. Since then, this symbiotic performance relationship has not only helped fine-tune TorqDrive clutch technology, but has amassed over 10 Championships.

Eli's recent 2022 Supercross Championship exceeded the expectations of many, originally influenced by the concerns of switching to a new motorcycle. ET3 proved those concerns moot, riding his TorqDrive-equipped Yamaha YZ450F to seven main event wins, five of which occurred consecutively.

This Championship not only marks a milestone for Tomac, but especially for Yamaha. Yamaha's last premier class AMA Supercross title was in 2009 with James Stewart, and now they've just followed up their Rekluse-backed 2021 450 Pro Motocross title with another number 1 plate to hang on the wall.
